Steve is involved in all aspects of the fenestration industry standards development/compliance and building and energy code development/compliance.  He is a recognized  and trusted leader having been board Chair of NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council), President FMA (Fenestration Manufacturers Association), board  member of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association), board member IGMA (Insulating  Glass Manufacturers Alliance) , Hallmark Certification Committee chair WDMA (Window and Door Manufacturers Association),  as well as having chaired numerous fenestration industry committees.

Team Members

Dennis Anderson, Thermal Modeling Specialist

Dennis has been in the fenestration industry since 1992.  His primary experience is thermal performance of windows & doors and mitigating field acoustical issues.  Dennis joined National Fenestration Rating Council in December 2019 and is currently a Program Manager.  He is involved with noise mitigation consulting and thermal computer simulation training and research analysis and the International Energy Conservation Codes. He is the recipient of the 2018 NFRC Member of the Year for implementing a new condensation rating. Dennis is a veteran of the U.S. Army and earned a B.S. in Engineering.

Cenk Kocer, Ph.D., VIG Specialist

Cenk has a wide background in materials science, with a focus on performance measurements and numerical modelling. He is well known in the industry for his work in Vacuum Insulating Glass (VIG).  With several patents and published works and his involvement in the ISO and NFRC working groups, Cenk has been involved in the design, manufacture and performance testing of VIG since 1994.  He has had strong industry collaborations and has developed several software platforms and measurement processes used to develop the VIG product.

Ron Michalczuk, Quality Management System Specialist

Ron has been involved with quality his entire career.  He led glass and IG teams in development of a quality management system and was the former chair of the quality task group at the Fenestration and Glass Industry Alliance.  He was instrumental in crafting the TM-4500 series of documents for IGMA.  Ron specializes in consulting and training and his unique integrated methodology is designed for continuous improvement to positively impact the bottom line. Ron emphasizes producing cost savings through a robust QMS.

Stephen Morse, Ph.D., P.E., Glass Specialist

Stephen is well known in glass circles and is a primary contributor to the ASTM E 1300 Standard Practice for Determining Load Resistance of glass in buildings.  Stephen is currently the Assistant Professor at Michigan Tech -Dept. Civil and Environmental Engineering in Houghton, MI.  His company, Standards Design Group has software packages for determining glass loading and IG stress properties.
