FCS principal Dave Cooper has over 30 years of experience in the fenestration industry, specializing in risk management & mitigation, product design and process optimization with a broad range of technical knowledge.

David J. Cooper, PMP

Dave has been involved in most aspects of Insulating Glass and Vacuum Insulating Glass engineering, design, processing, quality, thermal performance, testing and certification and holds over a dozen patents. He was responsible for teams at Guardian Glass that validated VIG and a new IG product.  Dave is an Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (FGIA) board member and past president. He held board and leadership positions with the Insulating Glass Certification Council, ISO and NFRC VIG Task Groups among other organizations. Dave has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and is a certified Project Management Professional.

Steve is involved in all aspects of the fenestration industry standards development/compliance and building and energy code development/compliance.  He is a recognized  and trusted leader having been board Chair of NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council), President FMA (Fenestration Manufacturers Association), board  member of AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association), board member IGMA (Insulating  Glass Manufacturers Alliance) , Hallmark Certification Committee chair WDMA (Window and Door Manufacturers Association),  as well as having chaired numerous fenestration industry committees.
